There are four 19th century cottages at Kettle’s Yard, which Jim Ede renovated for his own residence. He and his wife Helen stayed in these cottages until they sold them in 1973. Later, they donated the property to the University of Cambridge, where it’s been used as an art gallery since 1966. In the 1970’s, it was extended to include an exhibition space. It’s a beautiful place to experience art and architecture.

The extension that was built on the site of the original cottages was a tribute to Jim’s wife. It opened in 1970, and is still open to the public. You can enjoy music and art shows at Kettle’s Yard.
